Studio Services Bookkeeping (SSB) is a division of CVG, a leading service provider for small architecture firms. We are seeking an experienced bookkeeper to lead Studio Services Bookkeeping, a growing division within our company. This unique opportunity merges bookkeeping skills with team management, business development, and leadership. We are looking for a confident self-starter who is excited about expanding this service offering. The Director of SSB manages a small team of contract bookkeepers and will be responsible for building a committed team of full-time and part-time hires. The position reports to CVG’s V.P. of Finance.

SSB’s current client roster consists of 20-30 small architecture firm clients. There is unlimited possibility for the growth of this division, and the Director of SSB will be rewarded for helping to realize this success. 

SSB’s parent company, CVG is a growing 21-person consultancy whose mission is to help small and mid-sized architecture firms be better businesses. Our clients are typically architecture firms under 30 people who engage with us in long-term contracts to provide business advisory services in the areas of leadership, finance, HR, marketing, business development, and operations. CVG has operated in a remote work environment since our firm’s founding in 2014. Our clients are located throughout the U.S. We are a fun, casual, dedicated firm whose clients and staff reflect our values of authenticity, flexibility, kindness, and community.

Qualified candidates should exhibit fluency in Quickbooks (online and desktop), general knowledge of industry-leading project management and time tracking software, an understanding of invoicing processes for professional services clients, and the ability to work remotely with a team of professionals. Ideal candidates will also have experience bookkeeping for architecture, engineering and/or professional service firms. 

Requirements include:

  • Knowledge and understanding of Quickbooks Online

  • Knowledge and understanding of project management software (Harvest, Core, Monograph)

  • Understand invoicing

  • Quickbooks certified

  • Microsoft office/ Google proficient

  • Bookkeeping/accounting background

  • Must pass Background check

  • Must be willing to learn

  • Able to lead and manage a team

  • Payroll Processing knowledge

  • A/R and A/P knowledge

  • Works well with others

  • Be a nice person
